My name is Greta, I am 21 years old and for two years I have been teaching English with passion. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work with students of different ages and levels, helping them both prepare for language exams and certifications, and improve their language skills in a more informal and practical setting. One of the aspects I consider fundamental in my approach is the personalization of lessons. In fact, each study programme is created together with the student, after listening carefully and understanding his personal goals and specific needs. This method allows me to tailor my lessons to each individual, thus ensuring a truly unique and targeted learning experience. I provide all the materials needed for lessons, including detailed summary sheets, practice worksheets and audio to practise listening so that students don’t have to spend time looking for resources elsewhere. This attention to detail allows everyone to focus more on learning and improving their language skills. In addition, I am aware that traditional lessons, if continued for long periods, can be not only boring but also ineffective in some cases. For this reason, I am committed to integrating more interactive and engaging activities into my lessons. For example, I propose translations of songs, analysis of books or films, and conversation lessons through 'book club' and 'movie club', where the discussion focuses on works chosen by the student. This mode makes the lessons not only more dynamic, but also much more fun, allowing students to use the language in practical and challenging contexts.
