Hey! I’m Gideon Ezekiel, a saxophonist based in Abuja, Nigeria. I’ve been playing for over 12 years now, and honestly, I still feel as excited about the sax as I did on day one. I’m completely self-taught — I’ve spent crazy hours practicing (I once did 12 hours straight!), and it’s been an amazing journey.
Over the years, I’ve played at tons of live events and even had the chance to do saxophone voicing on Joeboy’s song “Normally.” I also helped start Worship Therapy and Street Worship Jazz, both focused on using music as a way to heal, worship, and connect with people.
I studied Quantity Surveying at university, but music has always been my heartbeat. Along the way, I also picked up skills in music production, recording, mixing and mastering all self-taught too.
These days, what I love most is helping others learn. I want to make it easier for people to grow as saxophonists without going through all the slow detours I did. If that sounds like you, I’ve got you.
