I'm a lyric soprano with coloratura, I have a degree and various diplomas in Opera singing. I have been singing for more than 10 years and have been performing since I was 13 years old. I studied with some of the most famous opera singers such as Raina Kabaivanska and William Matteuzzi (La Scala Milan and The Metropolitan Newyork) but also Anna Vandi (La Scala Milan) and the tenor Ernesto Palacio (Juan Diego Florez's mentor, singer and artistic director of the Rossini Opera festival). My classes are different depending on your level and age: With children from 7 to 12 we start by doing easy vocalises and start training the ear with intonation exercises. We then have fun singing songs, these can be from Disney movies, musicals and much more. With teenagers I also start with some vocalises, a little more elaborate. Depending on the students capabilities we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We first work on respiration exercises and how the diaphragm works. I teach the real italian ‘Bel canto’ technique to my students who want to learn how to sing opera, focusing on using our resonators and how to create a beautiful, round and big sound. With my students I do scales and arpeggios. I work on intonation, legato and how to extend your vocale range. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice your new technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers and adults and senior, from beginners to more advanced. A classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!
