Hello! My name is Fernando Rivera. I’m 39 years old and I’m from the State of Mexico, in Mexico. I have academic training in computer science, mechatronics, and computer systems. I’ve worked in the private sector, where one of my main roles was training all the company’s staff. Currently, I work as a teacher at the upper secondary level (high school), mainly with students between 15 and 20 years old. I also teach some university groups. In addition, I create video tutorials about computer setup, apps, and mobile phones, and I also share Bible studies. I believe that theory is always valuable, as it provides the foundation for knowledge. However, I place even more importance on practice, since it allows for real experience and continuous learning. Based on this principle, I usually focus first on the basics we need to learn, and then reinforce them through plenty of practical exercises. When teaching Spanish, we’ll cover the theory — such as grammar, verbs, conjugations, and other relevant topics — but we’ll also be speaking Spanish the entire time. If you already have some knowledge of the language and can express yourself, don’t be surprised if I constantly correct your phrasing or pronunciation. I want to help you improve and understand the full versatility of Spanish.
