I specialise in working with international professionals, with three main areas of focus: Pronunciation – Develop your British English sounds, word stress, rhythm, connected speech and intonation so listeners can follow you more easily. We’ll identify the pronunciation features that make the greatest difference to how you’re understood, from distinguishing similar vowel sounds and strengthening consonants to emphasising key words and connecting your speech. You’ll learn how to form sounds and recognise patterns, then practise applying them in realistic conversations and professional situations. Voice & Public Speaking – Develop how you use your voice in meetings, presentations and conversations. If you rush, become quieter, trail off or rely on filler words when you’re nervous, we’ll work on practical ways to manage your delivery. You’ll practise developing a fuller, more resonant voice, maintaining your volume, using pauses and varying your pitch and emphasis. Through recordings and realistic speaking tasks, you’ll also practise expressing ideas without a script and answering unexpected questions. Professional Communication – Develop the language and strategies you need for meetings, presentations, client calls, small talk, diplomatic discussions and challenging conversations. I also offer fast-track interview preparation for professionals with an important interview coming up. We’ll identify the changes that could make the greatest immediate difference, including clearer pronunciation, confident vocal delivery, fewer filler words, concise answers and stronger information recall. We can also practise role-specific questions through realistic interview simulations. My teaching style is practical, supportive and tailored to you. You’ll receive focused feedback, understand what you’re working on and practise applying it to situations you face outside the classroom.
