Hello, My name is Deyan Vatchkov and I am an opera-bass singer with rich experience in theaters all over the world. He graduated in lyrical singing at the Conservatory of Sofia-Bulgaria with Maetro Karapetrov and specialized at the Academy of La Scala-Milano with Leyla Gencer, Luciana Serra, Luigi Alva and Teresa Berganza. Winner of the First Prize and the Arrigo Boito Prize for the "Iris Adami Corradetti"-Padova contest. Winner of the Verdi prize for the Concorso di Belvedere and the special prize of Kammeroper-Vienna. He has sung many times at the Teatro de la Scala Milano and Arena di Verona, as well as Toronto, Tokyo, Seoul, Seattle, Napoli, Venezia, Torino, Bologna, Frankfurt, Madrid, Valencia, Bilbao etc. He has sung with singers like Placido Domingo, Olga Boodina, Samuel Ramey, Ferruccio Furlanetto, Marcello Alvarez, Jonas Kaufman, Mariella Devia, Bryn Terfel etc. He has been direct for drivers like Pappano, Muti, Maazel, Viotti, Oren, Temirkanov, Luisotti, Franci, Carella etc. He has more than 40 roles in his repertoire and 550 performances in the last 15 years of his carrier. I am working on the vocal technique and the improvement of the students' repertoire.
