My name is David Brodsky. I have an undergraduate degree (4 yr) in Psychology from York University in Toronto, Ontario. During my degree I took half of my courses in Psychology and half across a variety of subjects including business math and accounting, visual basic programming and computer science, natural science, political science, fiction analysis, literature, and others. I do not hold any formal teaching certificates. I have been working through tutoring contractor sites such as this one and through companies as a tutor for around five years. In that time I've had 500 hours of experience teaching English at several levels, basic math, standardized test preparation, tennis, chess, Russian, interview skills, biology, and writing skills. Tutoring is not a lucrative business. It is the work of people who love to do it. It is difficult to succeed as a full time tutor. However, this is the challenge I've put to myself. This is a learning experience for me. I think that teaching others has a lot to teach me about myself and about business. I am devoting my next 6 months to private tutoring before I go back to my career as a gardener/landscaper. If you choose me as your tutor, I will prepare our lessons, and make your success, my business. This is not my part time job. I will be committed to teaching you.
