En Orense, Galicia, el carnaval o Entroido puede durar hasta 5 semanas. As pantallas son los personajes típicos en Ginzo de Limia y llevan máscaras pintadas que recuerdan al diablo. Su atuendo característico se reconoce entre otras cosas por las campanillas que rodean su cadera. En Verín, el traje típico pesa más de 25 kilos y se llama cigarrón. Madamas e galáns son los personajes característicos del carnaval de Cobres y son muy costosos, ya que el traje indica el estrato social.
