About me

Hi. My name is Carolina. I have a degree in Language and Cultural Mediation and I am currently a master's student in European and American Languages and Literatures. I also do translation of non-fiction and fiction articles, as well as help kids in humanities, literatures and languages. I study English, French, Spanish and Russian assiduously. Lessons are student-centered: teaching methodology is adapted to the initial level of knowledge and competence. I provide supplementary material and correct written texts outside of class in order to facilitate learning, as well as create audio files to help with pronunciation. Whenever possible, I always try to propose an inductive approach, starting with the language and going back to the grammar rule, reasoning about it. I consider it necessary to spend time in conversation to develop active skills. Confident that learning is only possible in a calm and stimulating environment, mistakes will be considered as reasoning cues for learning from time to time and will always have a cordial reaction from the teacher.
