Hello! I'm Brenda and am from Canada. I am an ESL teacher with a 150-hour TESOL certificate from Arizona State University. I have taught English online for nearly 3 years, however, I have been a teacher for well over half my life in both dance and the fitness industry! My experience includes teaching teenagers through adults. Perhaps you are studying to take an English exam or maybe you are looking to expand your vocabulary and confidence to speak comfortably in work meetings or presentations. My lessons are adapted to meet my student's unique goals. Recently I moved to a country where I am also learning a foreign language, Portuguese! The culture is completely different than Canada and England, where I have also lived. We take so much for granted when communicating and living in our mother tongue. I am very passionate about teaching and helping you achieve your goals in learning English. I can happily adapt to a student's individual needs. I believe as a teacher, I am a guide. My teaching purpose, therefore, is to help guide and inspire students on their journey of learning the English language out of their comfort zone to be the best they can be. My goal is to guide English language learners of all levels to acquire the skills necessary to be able to fly on their own. Success to me will be seeing a student gain confidence and acquire skills to use the English language fluently in the real world.
