About me

Hello! My name is Basirat, and I’m a friendly and patient Mathematics tutor with over five years of teaching experience. I have experience teaching children and young learners in Primary and Junior Secondary education, and I currently work as an Assistant Lecturer in Economics, where I also teach Introductory Mathematics for Economics. Most learners I have come across think Mathematics is difficult. However, I believe that when Mathematics is taught the right way, it can be understood by anybody. This belief shapes my teaching approach, so I use simple explanations, real-life examples, visual aids and interactive activities to make mathematical concepts easier for my learners to understand. I also adapt my lessons to each learner’s level and needs, with the aim of helping them build confidence and become independent problem-solvers. I look forward to helping you enjoy Mathematics!
