About me

Hello! My name is Arnaldo Miranda and I am a UK TEFL certified. I have more than 5 years of experience teaching English in person classes and online classes In my classes, I work to create genuine relationships with students. This allows me to develop that connection and make them trust that I won't ask them to do something that won't benefit their learning, even if it's difficult. I think Portuguese students need to be able to trust themselves, their instructors, and their peers, above all else. This way, in a safe environment, the mistakes they will make as learners will not undermine their confidence. I will intervene, early on and with dynamic classroom management skills, when I observe bullying or other behaviors that reduce trust, to protect that trust in the classroom. I want students to see my class as a refuge from normal life, where they can practice Portuguese and thrive in a small community of learners.
