About me

I grew up in Scotland and then moved to Italy at the age of 16. I graduated with honors in Modern Foreign Languages ​​and Literatures in Milan, choosing the philological-literary specialization, because I was fascinated by the world of Germanic philology. After a long wandering, I chose to settle down in Marche, in Fano to be more precise. This town won me over with its combination of history, art, culture, and nature. Here I live with my two dachshunds, Olaf and Mandy. In 2012 I chose to start my own business, enhancing both my skills as a translator and editor, and my passion for teaching. It was a not-so-easy decision, which gives me immense satisfaction, but which also makes me experience less happy times. Just in one of those moments, firmly determined to put a smile on the despondency, I put my fingers on the keyboard and started writing what was supposed to be a short story, but which has grown to become a novel first and then a trilogy. I teach English at all levels, German, Danish (for beginners only), Italian, Germanic Philology, and Scandinavian culture.
