My name is Andrea and I'm 25 years old. I have been a music teacher for several years and have worked with people of different ages and levels in different schools in Barcelona and Ireland. I started teaching music at the age of 18, combining it with my degree in interpretation of classical and contemporary music and also with my professional piano studies. I have worked in music schools teaching piano, singing, musical language, harmony, chamber music or combo and music and movement or musical awareness classes for infants from three to six years old. I have also worked with teenagers and adults adapting music or instruments classes to their needs, tastes and level. In the singing and piano classes I work on musicality through the instrument trying not to make everything in the technique (which is also very important for a good foundation) but experimenting with the students their musical habilities, such as rhythm and melody, improvisation and even movement in the interpretation of the instrument: relaxation, breathing, learning to listen to understand music through the practice and expression of each student and not only through musical theory. The musical lenguage and harmony classes serve to establish a more theoretical basis in the musical field, such as the reading of notes and rhyth, composition and it's bases, but try that this theory also draws on more practical and experiential activities adapted to each student according to their level. It is very important that each theoretical element of music is put into practice as soon as possible to enjoy it properly and understand it in its entirety. Music is sound in motion and therefore life in the present, you always have to put in into practice!!
