Hello, my name is Andrea, I am from Italy, and I have been living in Spain for a couple of years now.
I am a detail-oriented and curious person. I love languages, and I am especially passionate about pronunciation (phonetics and phonology), grammar, and vocabulary.
I studied Modern Languages and Literatures. In general, I am patient but also meticulous. In addition to having lived in Italy, I also spent some time in Switzerland, and before moving here, I lived and worked in Germany. I see learning as a way to experiment and put knowledge into practice—something that stimulates curiosity and is also enjoyable.
I have tutored mathematics in Italy for three years to a girl and for one year to a boy (equivalent to A-levels in Mathematics and Science in the UK). The lessons mainly focused on analysis, logarithms, derivatives, and integrals, with excellent results, as well as trigonometry, with good results. Until two years ago, I also gave private Spanish and French lessons to a secondary school student in Italy, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, and oral interaction.
Languages:
ITALIAN: I am a native speaker, so I have full command of the language at all levels.
FRENCH: My level is C1. In addition to studying it at university, I have lived in Switzerland and travel there frequently. I have also been to France several times. I have a very good command of grammar and vocabulary, both in formal and informal registers, including expressions specific to certain regions, as well as technical and specialized vocabulary. I have audio materials and texts to improve listening and reading comprehension.
GERMAN: I studied it at university, and my level is B2. However, living in Germany allowed me to improve and expand my speaking skills. I also have audio materials and texts to cover different aspects of the language.
ENGLISH: My level is B2. I prefer British English pronunciation, but I can also cover American pronunciation or make phonetic comparisons if required. I also have various materials and exercises.
