About me

Hi! My name is Alex and I come from Ireland, currently living in Barcelona. I am a certified TEFL teacher. I have been teaching at an English academy, here in Barcelona, since 2015 but I have more than 10 years experience in teaching English as a second language, both online and in the traditional classroom. I have taught students of all ages, from all around the world, so I understand the difficulties people face when studying and speaking English. My lessons are tailor-made, which means that each lesson is specifically designed for one student only. We will focus on things that are of interest to you. We will CONSTANTLY speak English because practising speaking is one of the most important aspects when studying the language. I don't want to just teach you theory and words; I want to help you become comfortable when speaking English, I want to help you understand humour, sarcasm, slang and colloquial expressions . I look forward to meeting and teaching you! Sorry everyone, I DO NOT DO EXAM PREPARATION!
