Rebbecca

Hi! My name is Rebbecca. I am 32 years old, and I live in a beautiful country South Africa. I achieved my grade 12 bachelors in 2010, and I am currently studying for a bachelor's degree in English and teaching on preply. I am a certified TEFL teacher, and I have completed my 120-hour master class. My hobbies are swimming; playing netball; reading; and I enjoy teaching the most. I teach English to all age's kids and adults. I have great communication skills, and I am an excellent collaborator. I choose to teach because I believe in the power of education. I see teaching as a way to change the world and help students discover their potential and achieve their desired goal. Over the past 12 years I have thought English and Math's to students between the ages of 5 to 15 years old using the TPR method which means total physical response as I believe it makes the class fun and engaging. In year 2023 I have done multiple English courses via department of education and became an education assistant at Settlers Primary School. In my online class I love to leverage a mix of tools to create a vibrant and interactive learning environment. I also like incorporating videos and interactive games to cater to different learning styles; these tools help keep my students excited and engaged. I believe in creating an interactive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated and can actively participate and apply their language skills. My teaching philosophy is empowering students to become confident and effective communicators in English. I believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. I love rewarding students for their excellent performances by complimenting; digital star or a virtual sticker these moments of recognition keep them enthusiastic and eager to learn in such environment.
