Hello and welcome! My name is Rachael, and I’m a passionate and caring Middle year and Diploma school teacher who believes that every child can succeed when learning feels exciting, supportive, and meaningful. My goal is to make each class a place where children feel confident to explore, make mistakes, and celebrate their progress — no matter where they start from. My classes are built on three key values: curiosity, confidence, and creativity. I believe children learn best when they are actively involved, so my lessons are highly interactive and filled with opportunities for hands-on learning, storytelling, visual aids, and games. Whether we’re reading a story, practising grammar, or exploring a new topic, I always aim to make the lesson lively and engaging. Each child learns differently, so I take time to understand their individual strengths, learning styles, and areas for improvement. I use this knowledge to design lessons that are personalised and goal-oriented, ensuring every learner feels both challenged and supported. My lessons follow a clear structure — a warm-up activity to get us thinking, a focused main task, and a short reflection at the end to track what we’ve learned. Building a strong teacher-student relationship is at the heart of my teaching. I work hard to create a safe, encouraging space where learners feel comfortable expressing themselves and asking questions. I believe that confidence grows when children feel heard and respected. Parents can expect regular feedback, visible progress, and lessons that nurture not just academic skills but also life skills like responsibility, curiosity, and resilience. I integrate digital tools and creative methods to make online learning as engaging as being in a physical classroom.
