Hello, my name is Liya and I'm from South Africa. I am a first year student, currently studying aviation at Johannesburg School of Flying. I love traveling and trying new things, I'm described as a very affectionate, compassionate, forgiving, gentle and sensitive person who is very kind, caring and tries to see the best in people. I love having fun, being with friends and family but I understand the balance between work and fun. Any work that I've been given I've made sure that is completed, even if it means losing sleep or having fun with friends. I would love to tutor because being a tutor allows me fulfill a passion of helping students learn and grow academically. When I was in high school I had a tutor and she really helped grow academically so I would love to see a student improve and succeed as a result of my guidance it will be incredibly rewarding, and tutoring often offers flexibility in terms of scheduling so it's quite appealing me since I have other commitments such as studies. My interests would have to do with learning new things, I'm on a journey to be a 'Do it yourself' girl, so my interests right now is learning to do my own nails, lashes and hair. My other interest which is quite recent is crocheting I have the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. I have patience and I know teaching often involves repeating concepts and providing extra help to students who are struggling and that patience is key in guiding students through their learning journey. I want to teach students according to their needs and personal goals. Every students is different so my teaching style would depend on the student and what makes learning easier and more fun for them.
