Hi, My name is Jocelyn Alcántara, and I am a professional translator and interpreter with extensive experience in language teaching, particularly English and Spanish. I have been teaching English to students from basic to advanced levels for over eight years, working with learners of different ages, backgrounds, and learning goals. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for helping students gain confidence and fluency in a foreign language through practical and meaningful communication. In addition to my teaching experience, I am a certified English teacher by the British-Peruvian Cultural Association, an institution that has provided me with solid pedagogical training and a deep understanding of effective language instruction. My academic and professional background in translation and interpretation has also strengthened my teaching practice, as it allows me to explain complex language structures clearly, address common learner difficulties, and provide accurate and culturally appropriate language use. My classes follow a communicative, task-based approach, focusing on real-life situations and practical language use. Lessons are dynamic, interactive, and highly conversational, encouraging students to actively participate and use English from the very beginning.
