My name is Iyase Raissa, and I am an English teacher who is passionate about helping students improve their English in a simple, comfortable, and enjoyable way. I have a TEFL/TESOL certificate, and I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel difficult or stressful. My goal is to make every lesson a safe place where you can learn, practice, make mistakes, and improve without being afraid. What makes me different from other teachers is that I do not believe that every student learns in the same way. Every learner has different goals, strengths, weaknesses, and learning speeds. Some students want to improve their speaking skills, while others want to work on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, writing, or English for work and school. Before and during our lessons, I try to understand what you need so that I can make our classes useful for you. My teaching style is friendly, patient, supportive, and practical. I want you to feel comfortable speaking with me, even if your English is not perfect. I will never make you feel embarrassed because of a mistake. In fact, I believe mistakes are an important part of learning. I will gently correct your mistakes and explain the correct way so that you can remember and use it confidently. I organise my classes in a simple and clear way. First, we will begin with a short conversation or warm-up activity to help you feel relaxed and ready to learn. Then, we will focus on the main topic of the lesson. Depending on your needs, we may use conversations, questions and answers, reading exercises, vocabulary activities, pronunciation practice, role-plays, or real-life situations. I like to use examples that you can actually use outside the classroom. At the end of each lesson, we will review what you have learned and identify areas that need more practice. I may also give you simple activities or suggestions to help you continue learning between lessons. As a non-native English speaker myself, I understand some of the challenges that English learners can experience. I know that becoming confident in English takes time, practice, and encouragement. That is why I will always be patient with you and celebrate your progress, even when the improvement seems small. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, my goal is to help you become a more confident English speaker and enjoy the learning process. I want our lessons to feel less like a traditional classroom and more like a friendly conversation where you can learn something new every day.
