Hello! I'm Fatimah (You can call me Tima :)), an Arabic tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience, more than 5,000 hours of online and in-person teaching, and experience teaching over 50 students from diverse cultural backgrounds. I hold a TAFL certificate and studied Arabic Language and Literature at Suez Canal University in Egypt. I teach Modern Standard Arabic, Classical Arabic, Quranic Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, conversation, reading, writing, grammar, rhetoric, literature, and poetry to learners of all ages and levels. Over the years, I have worked with students from many different countries and cultures, including learners who are already living in Arab communities or preparing to integrate into them. My lessons therefore focus not only on the language itself, but also on the culture, communication styles, social norms, and real-life situations that help students use Arabic naturally and confidently. I have also taught more than 20 children and teenagers between the ages of 3 and 16. For young learners, I create fully personalized lessons built around games, stories, interactive activities, and engaging questions that keep them motivated and actively involved throughout the learning process. I believe children learn best when they are having fun and feeling confident. For adults, every learning journey begins with understanding your goals. During the trial lesson, I assess your needs and select the most suitable internationally recognized curriculum for Modern Standard Arabic or Egyptian Arabic. If your goals require something different, I create a completely personalized learning plan designed specifically for you. You do not need to know the Arabic alphabet to begin. If your goal is communication, we can start speaking from day one using English support and Franco-Arabic (Arabic written in Latin letters), then gradually introduce reading and writing whenever you are ready. My Egyptian Arabic lessons go beyond vocabulary and grammar. You will learn how people actually speak in daily life, while also exploring Egyptian culture, traditions, social customs, humor, and everyday expressions used by native speakers. After every lesson, you receive a personalized PDF containing everything covered in class, important notes, vocabulary, and explanations, along with audio recordings for pronunciation practice. You will also receive customized homework tailored to your goals, interests, and learning style—not generic workbook exercises. I personally review and correct all assignments and provide detailed feedback to help you progress efficiently. My teaching philosophy is simple: language learning should be effective, enjoyable, and meaningful. Rather than memorizing isolated words and rules, you will learn how to understand the language, connect with the culture behind it, and use Arabic confidently in real-life situations.
