Mi metodología no sigue un camino en concreto, puesto que he tenido que dar clases a personas de rangos de edades muy diferentes, por eso siempre intento personalizar un poco la metodología a aplicar, ya que lo mismo desgraciadamente no funciona para todo el mundo, eso sí, siempre intento dotar las clases de bastante dinamismo, y que disfrutemos aprendiendo, que de eso se trata. Actualmente estoy cursando el MAES(Máster en enseñanza secundaria y bachillerato) y ya he tenido algún acercamiento al mundo de los institutos, con muy buenos resultados.

About me: Hello I'm Matt, an Ex-Abbey Road Studios in-house Recording and Mixing Engineer with 10+ years of professional experience. I have worked with some of the most critically acclaimed artists in the world (Frank Ocean's Blonde, James Blake, Brockhampton, Ezra Collective, Nick Cave) I also write and produce my own music as part of the duo Hong Kongleton https://hongkongleton.bandcamp.com/ Currently, I am also diving into the world of mental health where I am in the process of studying to become a counsellor. Here I'm looking to bridge my two worlds together by helping musicians with their underlying emotions and how creativity can be nurtured and encouraged through this process. Through my professional life in the studio, growing trusting working relationships has always been of upmost importance when embarking on a creative journey together. When tutoring, I integrate these complimentary forces to provide an experience that is nurturing, supportive and tailored to you. Tutoring experience: I have been tutoring online one-to-one lessons since leaving Abbey Road Studios about 2 years ago. I hold a deep passion for music and enjoy building fruitful and effective learning relationships with my students, acting often as a mentor as well as a tutor. It has been a joy to meet so many students who are bursting with passion and curiosity. Having studied Music & Sound Recording on the Tonmeister Course (University of Surrey) I have a strong grounding in Music Technology as a subject and can help those looking to supplement their GCSE, A-Level and Degree learning. Approach: I employ a student led approach to tutoring and I'm excited to join you on your journey at whatever point you may be at! We all have our strengths, weaknesses, hurdles and bugbears. I'm here to help you identify, nurture and overcome them whilst learning skills and techniques that will help you 'level-up' in your abilities to create better and better productions, recordings and mixes. I mainly work in Pro Tools or Ableton Live. Whilst most of the principles I teach are universal, I have found that sessions work better when we are speaking the same DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) language. That being said I have had fruitful teaching experiences with tutees working in Logic, FL Studio etc. I primarily use Zoom along with screen sharing and real-time audio streaming software.

En los distintos colegios he tenido la posibilidad de ofrecer clases de refuerzos a grupos reducidos, una experiencia que me ha resultado muy gratificante por el trato cercano con los alumnos. Veo las clases particulares de ese mismo modo, con la ilusión de que al estar en grupo pequeño la calidad de la enseñanza mejora. Utilizo un método de enseñanza personalizado, atendiendo las necesidades del alumno, escuchándolo. Procuro que mis clases sean dinámicas, transmitiendo mi pasión por la enseñanza, utilizando recursos que faciliten la estimulación en los alumnos. Aunque mi especialidad son la tecnología y EPVA, mis clases van dirigidas al alumnado que necesite apoyo en las asignaturas científico-tecnológicas (matemáticas, química, física...) en Secundaria. Una vez contactado con la familia y viendo aquellas asignaturas en las que se presenta mayor dificultad, me preparo las clases con anticipación. Los ejercicios que realizaremos serán adaptados al alumno en función de la materia en la que necesite apoyo. El horario puede ser flexible. Soy una persona perseverante y trabajadora que se responsabiliza de sus tareas diarias. Me ilusiono con lo que hago y por tanto lo transmito a la hora de dar una clase. ¿Te animas?
