"Hi everyone! My name is Soheila, and I'm excited to share a little about my background in teaching English.I have bachelor of arts in English literature and I hold both a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate. These qualifications have equipped me with essential teaching techniques and methodologies, allowing me to effectively support learners of all levels. Through the CELTA program, I gained hands-on experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and delivering engaging, interactive lessons. The TESOL certification further deepened my understanding of language acquisition and cultural awareness, which I believe are crucial for fostering a positive learning environment. The rise of technology in education has transformed my teaching methods. During the pandemic, I transitioned to online teaching, which forced me to rethink my lesson plans. I found that incorporating multimedia elements—videos, podcasts, and interactive quizzes—enhanced students' understanding and retention of the material. Even as we returned to in-person classes, I continued to integrate technology into my lessons, using it as a tool to foster collaboration and creativity. I believe that student-centered learning is essential for effective teaching. This method encourages active participation and ownership of the learning process. In my classroom, I often use project-based learning, allowing students to explore topics of interest and present their findings creatively. For example, during a unit on persuasive writing, students were tasked with creating a campaign for a cause they were passionate about. This not only developed their writing skills but also their research and presentation .
