Yifan
Hello! My name is Yifan, and I’m your “Chinese language concierge.” As a graduate with a degree in International Chinese Education, I possess not only a solid foundation in linguistic theory but also three years of hands-on teaching experience (one year as a middle school teacher + one year as a tutor for Chinese language students + half a year of online one-on-one instruction for HSK 5-6 levels). I’ve designed my classes specifically for those who want to excel in Chinese language learning! My teaching “superpowers”:
✅Engaging and professional! Leave the monotony behind! In my classes, I’ll bring the subject matter to life – for example, while teaching about “hot pot,” I’ll discuss Sichuan’s culinary culture. When learning about “idioms,” I’ll guide you in guessing their origins and playing an idiom-chaining game, so that you’ll remember Chinese characters, grammar, and authentic expressions while laughing!
✅HSK “Tricks for Success”: For students preparing for the HSK, I’ll help you overcome the challenges of intermediate and advanced levels. Whether it’s everyday communication or passing the exam and obtaining a certificate, I’ll ensure you’re well-prepared!
✅Cultural “eggs” are diverse: ranging from traditional festivals to lines from films and TV dramas, or using Chinese song lyrics as textbooks, making Chinese learning more than just language—it’s an immersive cultural adventure!
Why choose me?
▫️Extensive experience in online teaching.
▫️ Bilingual communication without barriers: I can help you overcome grammar difficulties in English, and also accompany you as you delve deeper into the charm of language in Chinese.
▫️ Student needs “customized learning”: Whether you want to cram for the HSK for a short period or use Chinese for long-term study/living purposes, I’ll first understand your goals and then design a personalized curriculum! I’m patient in teaching, and my classes are also engaging. I’ll include many interesting Chinese stories and examples to help you learn more beyond the textbooks. If you’re a complete beginner, I’ll guide you through the process of learning pinyin, starting with the simplest syllables, and teaching you step by step, from speaking your first sentence in Chinese to becoming a “master of Chinese” around you.
If you’re already proficient in Chinese, I’ll incorporate more entertaining knowledge, such as learning your favorite song lyrics or Chinese TV dramas. Don’t hesitate! Book a trial lesson now and together we’ll journey from “recognizing ‘hello’” to “speaking confidently in Chinese,” making Chinese a valuable skill for you!
