Soy un chico con ganas de enseñar y ver progresar a mis alumnos en este maravilloso idioma que es el japonés. Me gusta conocer a mis alumnos, mostrarme cercano y que se sientan cómodos y seguros en un ambiente que favorezca el aprendizaje.
No me veas como un profesor con el que tienes que cumplir con cierto nivel para progresar. Cada persona necesita su ritmo y el japonés no es un idioma sencillo. Lo más importante para evolucionar en el proceso, es disfrutar del aprendizaje. ¡Espero que confíes en mí para ayudarte con ello!
Lo que más me gusta del japonés y lo primero que me impulsó a aprenderlo es su fonética, el sonido que se produce al hablarlo. La sensación de poder reproducir esos sonidos, construir frases y llegar a comunicarse con naturalidad es indescriptible. ¿Y a ti, qué te ha llevado a querer aprender japonés?

¿Te gusta el anime? Te mostraré ejemplos de gramática, vocabulario y demás elementos que vayamos aprendiendo de algunas de las series que hayas visto, ¡y de la boca de tus personajes favoritos!
¿Te gusta el J-pop? Junto a las series, la música es una de las mejores formas de que se nos acostumbre el oído a otro idioma. Y al igual que las series, las canciones están llenas de gramática y vocabulario que seguramente reconozcas cuando lo veamos en clase, ¿no tienes ganas de entender algunos de los versos de tus canciones preferidas?

Soy medio japonés y medio húngaro, nacido y criado (durante buena parte de mi infancia) en México.
Pongo un gran énfasis en el aprendizaje a través de la emisión de palabras y la comisión de errores, muchos de ellos. Te ayudaré con algún que otro consejo gramatical, pero los humanos somos máquinas de reconocer patrones, así que la mayor parte de nuestras lecciones serán conversacionales en las que te corregiré hasta que nos sangren las narices y tú, poco a poco, cometerás errores menos básicos y más avanzados :)
Es importante que yo sepa cómo puedo ser útil para tus objetivos de adquisición del idioma, qué método te conviene más, y que tú sepas si soy una buena opción para ti.
Elijas a quien elijas, si quieres mejorar rápidamente, por favor, sumérgete en el idioma, lee, mira, escucha. El 90% de la adquisición de la lengua es un input adecuado a tu nivel -eso es algo desafiante- y sólo el 10% es output y aprendizaje con un profesor.
El uso de la cámara no es necesario, yo no voy a usar una, ya que creo que es una distracción de centrarse al 100% en el sonido y la estructura de la conversación. Piensa en el Clubhouse. Una habitación oscura y acogedora donde toda la atención está en la belleza del lenguaje.

I am a British English native and have an honours 2.1. degree in Japanese language and contemporary society from Oxford Brookes in England and have lived and worked in Japan. I teach Japanese children English online (in Japanese) and I am also a private online Japanese tutor. I have three children myself (5, 9, 13) and have worked in education for over 10 years. I have experience in teaching both children and adults in Japan, the UK and online. I have certificates in 120 hour TEFL including exam preparation, business English and teaching young learners. I hold my Cache Level 3 certificate in supporting teaching and learning and have certificates in teaching SEN and understanding Autism. I have experience in teaching children and adults who are neurodiverse and have learning difficulties.
My classroom is a free from judgement zone and open to all, I can adapt lessons to accommodate any stumbling blocks that you may have when it comes to learning and we can work together to find what works for you :D

My lessons are interactive and fun. The classroom is different to most that are currently offered (I searched everywhere to find the right fit!) As such, during the lesson the student has the ability to write on slides - (perfect for when we are practising characters!), type post-its, draw pictures, interact with games and type in both English and Japanese.

I have written two courses, one which is for absolute beginners and one which is a course on JLPT5 that is for students that are 100% confident on hiragana and katakana. Each student has their own personalised learning link that they can access in-between lessons. It includes vocab that we have learnt in the lesson and anything else that the student may be struggling with/wants to learn. It can be accessed on a mobile and has a learn function and also a test via quiz function. This can be accessed via laptop/desktop for younger learners that may not have a phone.
🌸Young Learners🌸
I teach children from ages 9+. Lessons are simplified and we play lots of games to concept check. Stars and confetti are given to children when they get things right and to incentivise and build confidence. I also have lots of effects that I use in the classroom to keep children engaged. When they are ready and have learnt some fundamentals, students we learn in a Japanese world that I created ( like a stripped back Minecraft) that children can walk around in, there are learning tasks in there whereby they can unlock items for their own house which they can choose and modify have in the world. Everything is in Japanese, we have a police station, school and even a McDonalds which is often a big hit!! To incentivise homework (which is interactive so that they can do it independently - hurrah!) I can give out gems. Their gems are saved on their user file so that they can save for mods for their house and even pets such as baby dragons.
My ultimate goal with young learners is that they are happy, learning and are having fun.

I know how hard the Japanese language can be to approach as an English speaker. I believe we learn best when we do, rather than when we are just spoken to. Actively participating in your learning helps things sink in and stick. My goal is to take the fear out of learning Japanese and look at the many tips any tricks we can use to unlock the language by creating an interactive learning environment which can be accessed anywhere in the world.

My proudest moment when learning Japanese was many many years ago when I told a dog in Japan to 'sit', and it sat !! A simple thing but I thought, if a Japanese dog can understand me I am doing okay!
