Hello, 😊 I am Zahra from Iran, an ESL tutor, with +3 years of teaching English both online and in-person. 👩‍🏫 I just joined this platform as an international English tutor. I hold a BA degree in TEFL, and an MA degree in Applied Linguistics. 👩‍🎓 During my university education, I always remained aware of the how to integrate theories and introduced teaching models and practices into my actual English classes, be it online or in-person, so as to create an interactive, engaging, motivating, and dynamic learning environment. When in class, I regularly hear this from my students: "Oh, how fast time passed!" ... I take it as a sign of optimal engagement on part of my students. Also, when it comes to designing materials, I pay a lot of attention to offering high-quality materials, and avoid relying upon the ones introduced by the course book. When find it essential, I would employ extra materials, and practices, including extensive listening and reading, shadowing techniques for listening activities, transcribing listening files, bringing a copy of collocation books to the class, and regular feedback, be it in class or outside classroom. I always strive to help my students love English, and not just pass some courses; I set it as a priority to keep them motivated in their language learning journey.
