I’m a professional language instructor. My strength is endorsed by numerous experiences in the field of education. First of all, I passed the Japanese teaching competency test 18 years ago and I've been teaching Japanese ever since! Until now, I had taught thousands of students in universities, officers in government organizations and even business executives in Korean companies like Samsung. I offer three courses in Japanese. The first is the most formal of my programmes. In this programme, you will learn essential Japanese including grammar, reading, speaking, listening and writing. If you are preparing for JLPT to pass, or you have a particular goal, I will tailor the lessons to achieve it. The second is for those who have learned some Japanese before! We can have more conversation oriented lessons so you can practice real conversation with a native speaker. If you want to be a better speaker of Japanese, pronunciation is really important. There are so many intermediate students struggling with Japanese flat and tonal accents. Don't worry, I'm a skilled pronunciation coach. You will develop a natural speaking style which can be understood by Japanese speakers. I did many recording works and appeared as a reporter in Japanese news shows. Moreover I hosted an educational program for Japanese beginners on a nationwide EBS radio program for 6 years. You can even find my voice on Netflix as a narrator in several animation series’. It means that my pronunciation is an ideal one that you can trust to imitate as a model. I assure you I will help you effectively overcome it. My third course is for the advanced learners. I pick up an interesting article in Japanese before every lesson. You may read it in advance. At the beginning of the lesson we practice reading it out loud with a focus on correct pronunciation. I’ll also check whether you comprehend the text and expressions in detail. After that we talk about the topic and you will state your opinion in Japanese. This program is proven to be very effective for advanced learners. Many students surprisingly improved ther proficiency with it. Besides teaching, I've been working for Seoul National University for 6 years now. I have a master's and Ph.D. Degree in Linguistic Psychology and also work as a professional researcher in the field of second language acquisition and language proficiency evaluation. I’m currently developing a certified second language proficiency examination in Korea, and testing the language ability of national officers’ including diplomats and national security officers. Because I myself have an experience of mastering the Korean language, I know both the pleasure and difficulties of learning a new language. Indeed, mastering a second language is a worthwhile experience that widens your eyes to the world and yields a lifetime of pleasure. It can totally change your life. My life was changed dramatically by mastering second languages. Now I teach Japanese grammar and subjects like general Psychology in Korean language and appeared on popular TV shows here.
