Hello! My name is James Muriu, and I am a passionate teacher of Biology and Agriculture with over 12 years of teaching experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Agriculture and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management. What makes my teaching different is that I believe learning should go beyond memorising notes. I help students understand concepts, connect them to real-life situations, ask questions confidently, and develop the skills needed to perform well in examinations. My classes are interactive, well-organised and focused on the individual learner. I organise my lessons around clear learning objectives. We begin by building an understanding of the concept, followed by practical examples, guided practice, questions and feedback. I also use regular assessments to identify areas that need more attention and help students track their progress. As a teacher, I am approachable and patient. I understand that students learn at different speeds, so I create an environment where you can ask questions freely without feeling embarrassed. My goal is not simply to help you pass an examination, but to help you become a confident and independent learner. I am available to teach secondary school students, high school learners and examination classes, particularly those preparing for KCSE and other secondary-level examinations. I can teach Biology and Agriculture from foundational concepts to advanced examination preparation.
