Hi! I’m Heba, a Medical Sciences and Genetics tutor with a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. I have spent years studying, applying, and explaining complex biological and genetic concepts, both academically and clinically. I currently work in genetics research, and I truly enjoy making difficult topics feel simple, logical, and approachable for students. Teaching has always been a natural part of my journey. Beyond being the person friends relied on when biology or genetics became confusing, I have over 800 hours of direct patient communication as a genetic counselor. This experience trained me to explain complex concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and communicate with empathy and structure. I am highly flexible in my teaching approach and adjust my pace, explanations, and methods to suit each student. I frequently use visual explanations on my iPad and create personalized PDFs and PowerPoint materials when helpful. I have also taught multiple subjects online as a hobby, and my students always feel comfortable, supported, and confident while learning with me.
