Hello, my name is Helen, and I am a native Chinese speaker from Beijing, China. Very nice to meet you! I have been in education industry for more than 10 years and have over 5 years' experience in teaching Chinese. My students include adults and children, from all kinds of countries. I have worked in both UK and China for many years, and used English and Chinese as my working languages. In my spare time, I love traveling, cooking and online shopping. I can cook very delicious Chinese dishes! The Mandarin Chinese is beautiful, but also difficult and complicated for non-native speakers. I know as a Chinese learner, you have a lot of challenges. Therefore, how to make the learning easier, quicker, and more effective are the goals of my courses and I am committed to help you succeed in Chinese language learning. My Chinese courses consist of a series of real-life topics, including practical words, expressions, grammar points and knowledge, which you can use in real life immediately after learning the courses. For example, the general topics include making phone calls, ordering Chinese food, traveling in China, finding accommodations, going to the hospitals, etc. The business related topics include finding a job in China, writing the emails, meeting customers or business partners, negotiating contracts, registering a company in China, etc. In addition, I also offer the HSK test preparation lessons for level 1-6. The major part of the course is speaking practice, with writing and pronunciation involved as well. The course is engaging and interactive and you will be encouraged to participate, practise and use the language. My international experiences allow me to have the comprehensive understanding of the differences between the Chinese and western cultures, the different ways that people do things and the differences with mindsets. I incorporated all of these factors and the background introduction into the Chinese language lessons, for you to better understand the language and know the real life in China.
