Hello/ Hola/ سلام / مرحبا everyone! I’m Büşra, I have a degree in Turkish Language and Literature and I’m certified in teaching Turkish as a foreign language from the University of Marmara in Istanbul. I have been teaching Turkish online and face-to-face classes for over five years. I’m passionate about Turkish culture and life, especially Turkish music and Turkish cuisine, and have experience into these subjects. I will be incredibly happy to pass on this knowledge to you during our lessons. Doesn’t matter if it is living abroad, studying, working, traveling or improve your language skills, I’m here for you. We can practice grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Thanks to my curiosity about etymology, I can open the secret doors of Turkish for you at advanced levels and help you see many beauties behind those doors. I’m in very patient, supportive and motivating person. I come prepared to our lessons with visual and audio materials suitable for your level and needs. Teaching Turkish is not a job for me, it's my passion. I love my job. I am a responsible, diligent, and enthusiastic person. While I was student teaching, I had the opportunity to take a student aside to help him with a, particularly difficult language concept that he was having trouble understanding. When I was able to show him a different way to approach the problem, and he “got it,” I knew that I had chosen the right field! I know that many of the learners represent challenging backgrounds, but I feel that I could make a difference in their lives by working with them. I like both to teach and learn with others, to share my knowledge with them. I look forward to the opportunity to be part of a committed team helping to provide a supportive and nurturing environment so that every child and learner as well can achieve greatness, regardless of the challenges they may face. My teaching style usually varies from The directing style to the discussion and delegating style. My teaching promotes learning through listening and following directions. With this style, I tell the students what to do, how to do it, and when it needs to be done. I impart information to the students via lectures, assigned readings, audio/visual presentations, demonstrations, role-playing, and other means. Students gain information primarily by listening, taking notes, doing role plays, and practicing what they are told to do. The discussion-style promotes learning through interaction. In this style, I encourage critical thinking and lively discussion by asking students to respond to challenging questions. My role is being a facilitator guiding the discussion to a logical conclusion. Students learn to have opinions and to back them up with facts and data.
