Why choose me?
✅ I graduated with a master's degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) from Beijing Language and Culture University in 2013. Since graduation, I have been engaged in Chinese language teaching at universities in Beijing and participated in the compilation of Chinese textbooks, demonstrating high professionalism in Chinese teaching.
✅ I have taught international students from all over the world and understand the characteristics of students from different countries in the process of learning Chinese.
✅ With clear thinking and rigorous logic, my classes are still relaxed and humorous. I can flexibly adjust teaching methods according to students' different learning styles and needs.
What courses am I good at?
✅ HSK Level 4 and 5 test-preparation courses
My HSK course uses different textbooks from most teachers' HSK courses. The HSK series textbooks I use enable students to pass HSK Level 1 after about 40 hours of study, HSK Level 2 after about 60 more hours, HSK Level 3 after another 100 hours, and HSK Level 4 after an additional 150 hours based on that—all the way to HSK Level 6, which requires approximately 1,000 hours in total.
My teaching method helps you improve Chinese listening and speaking skills while preparing for HSK exams. If you are eager to pass the HSK quickly, I will use courses developed from my summary of past exam questions to assist you.
✅ Chinese traditional culture courses, philosophy courses
I have some understanding of Oriental philosophy, such as Buddhist thought, Taoist thought represented by the I Ching and Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, and Confucianism represented by Confucius. If you want to learn about these, I can design teaching materials based on your interests.
✅ Chinese for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) courses
With basic knowledge of TCM and Chinese herbal medicine, I can integrate TCM knowledge teaching with Chinese language teaching, explaining TCM principles in simple and understandable language.
✅ Vocabulary and grammar courses
Learning basic vocabulary and grammar lays a solid foundation for Chinese learners. This is not only the most taught course by me every year but also the most recognized by my students.
With years of teaching experience, I understand students' problems with each grammatical point and have developed an exclusive set of grammar practice methods.
If you plan to take a Chinese language exam or study in China in the future, it is very necessary to lay a solid foundation in Chinese vocabulary and grammar.
✅ Chinese News Reading Course
If you are an intermediate or advanced-level student who wants to understand Chinese news, or are interested in current affairs and China's national conditions and society, you can choose to take a Chinese news reading course. This was my main research direction during my postgraduate studies and is also one of the course types I specialize in. You can use existing Chinese newspaper reading textbooks combined with my self-prepared reading materials on the latest current affairs, or I can even tailor teaching materials based on news topics that interest you.
✅ Oral Chinese courses
My oral Chinese courses are not limited to traditional textbooks. I am good at using tools such as artificial intelligence to develop different materials for oral Chinese courses according to the needs of different students.
I love teaching Chinese, which will be the cause I pursue and strive for throughout my life. I hope that through my courses, you can also feel the charm of the Chinese language!

Hello! My name is Amanda. I am a professional Chinese teacher with many years of international teaching experience, and I currently live in France.
I am a certified teacher holding an Advanced International Chinese Teaching Certificate. I taught Chinese to international students for five years at a university in China, and later taught Chinese courses for three years at a university in the United States. Teaching students from different cultural backgrounds has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career, and my classes have always been very well received by students.
My professional path is also quite international. After my teaching experience, I completed a Master’s degree in accounting in the United States and worked at PwC in Boston. I later moved to France and obtained a Master’s degree in Accounting from ESSEC Business School. These experiences gave me a deep interest in cross-cultural communication.
Currently, I am also learning French myself. This experience helps me understand very well what adult language learners really need. 😉 Many traditional textbooks are either too childish or not very engaging for adults, so in my classes I prefer to use materials that are meaningful, interesting, and intellectually stimulating. 😊
In our lessons, I first take some time to understand your level and your goals. Then we design learning materials together based on your interests, including reading materials, videos, and conversation topics that are both interesting and challenging.
My interests are quite broad. I enjoy reading (both fiction and non-fiction), traveling, music, philosophy, history, art, and culture. These topics often become great conversation material in class, helping students improve their Chinese in a relaxed and natural way.
I believe language learning works best when students feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes. Every lesson is adapted to your level and your interests, whether you are a beginner or already have experience learning Chinese.
In addition, my background in accounting and finance allows me to help students who want to improve their Chinese in professional or business contexts. 😊 💼If you are interested in business communication in Chinese, we can design targeted lessons to help you communicate confidently.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your Chinese learning journey!

Hello everyone, I'm Angelina Ma, Is Yi people and now living in Shanghai. As a certified senior international Chinese teacher, I firmly believe that language is a bridge across borders.
Over 15 years, I’ve shifted from teaching finance to Chinese, and traveled to over 30 countries—I truly love the clashes of different cultures. My classes are never boring: if you like food, we’ll chat about Yunnan rice noodles and Shanghai soup dumplings during grammar practice; if you’re curious about ethnic cultures, stories of the Dai Water-Splashing Festival might help you remember new words.
I tailor courses to your goals—be it business communication, daily conversations, or cultural exploration—all turned into lively interactions. Here, mistakes are badges of growth, and every attempt to speak deserves encouragement. I look forward to seeing you go from shy试探 (tentative tries) to confident expression, understanding China through the rhythms of Chinese characters, and feeling the warmth of culture in words.
Outside class, I’m always finding new things in life: morning mist over old towns, shouts in markets, the warmth of intangible cultural heritage crafts... These could all be little surprises in our classes.
I’d love to wander with you in the world of Chinese, turning every character into a story and every sentence into strength. Looking forward to meeting you, and making Chinese "fun" in countless wonderful ways.
