Hello! My name is Stacey. I have a certificate in Brand Management, a BA degree in Psychology and Communication Science, and a level-5 TEFL certificate. I also recently acquired my certificate in transcription and video captioning. I have 5 years of experience in the education sphere. I have teaching experience with children (6-13 years) and adults (26 - +- 50 years). I have formal teaching experience through a private school which I was previously employed with as well as teaching on online platforms, like Classgap, for 3 years now. I was most currently employed as a school facilitator for a 12 year old. I was required to track her progress in school, assist her with her homework and tutor her on specific subjects. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and witnessing the improvements made by each and every student that is on their own path. Aimed at foundation, junior and senior phase levels I have experience in, and feel confident in tutoring subjects such as English, as a home language and a second (foreign) language, Afrikaans, Mathematics and History. Aimed at a tertiary level and above, I have experience and feel confident in tutoring those who need assistance in pronunciation, grammar etc. As well as assisting in editing articles and documents, and interview and speech preparation for priority meetings and presentations. With a one-on-one classroom specifically catered to your goals, you and I are able to thoroughly work through your challenges and reach objectives that will enable you to feel more confident about your journey in the subject or topic at hand whether it be a younger student who needs help with something as little as the alphabet (I have my own flashcards/key cards/picture aids/songs), or as big as a promotional interview or news article edit, I am capable in assisting you and ensure you will have a fun and positive learning experience. I would love to assist you in taking those steps closer to your goals, or even aiding you in staying on top of your work!
