Hi! Thanks for taking time to look at my profile and welcome!! If you can't find the time you want, please don't hesitate to contact me. we can work together to find a time and date that works for you. My name is Meng and I am from Taiwan. I am a professional and experienced violist. I have played in many different orchestras and also worked as an orchestral violist at the Graz Opera for 6 years. In the meantime, I also taught students from 12 to 70 years old, which gave me the opportunity to develop and improve my own teaching style. Everyone is different, so I can tailor/customise lessons to suit you and your needs. Let me give you more information about the types of lessons that I offer! Beginner and Restarter Viola/Violin Lessons In this lesson I will walk you through the very basics of learning an instrument and guide you as you begin your musical journey to learn the viola/violin. With me you will study everything from holding the instrument to playing your very first piece. After each class, I will give you some materials to practise at home and we will be reviewing them at the start of each session gradually adding in more and increasing the difficulty. Your ideas and suggestions are encouraged all the time! Intermediate Lessons In this lesson we will establish your needs and goals and work together to achieve them. By identifying these aims I will be able to prepare appropriate material for each lesson. The following is a list of the areas we can focus on: - scales and arpeggios -right- and left hand technique - practice - sight-reading etc. After each class, I will give you some more challenging materials to practise at home and we will be reviewing them at the start of each session gradually adding in more and increasing the difficulty.
