A UK-qualified professional accountant with an MA in Finance and a career spent in the multi-national world as a 'C' suite executive and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in both private and public companies. Lessons will be both of an academic nature and have interjections from the real world of business where accounting is (i) the foundation stone for the financial reporting of organisational performance, and (ii) the provider of the base data that enables the management and control of the organisation. Too often subjects are so academic in nature that the real-world application is never truly brought to the student's attention thereby relieving the student of a deeper understanding of the subject matter. My intent is to marry the academic and the real world and to bring the subject matter to life.
