Nice to meet you all! I am so glade that you are on this page now! My name is Cecilia, and I have a strong passion for teaching Chinese. Originally from China, I pursued my higher education in Canada, where I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the language and culture. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Linguistic from Simon Fraser University, where I gained a solid foundation in Linguistic theories and teaching methodologies. I have also completed additional courses to enhance my teaching skills at the end of my academic pathway. As a second language learner, I deeply understand the challenges and difficulties that second language learners may encounter when learning a new language. In our course, I will apply my own experiences to assist everyone in their language learning journey. In addition to language instruction, I am passionate about sharing Chinese culture, history, and traditions. I believe that language and culture are deeply interconnected, and by exploring these aspects, students gain a richer understanding of the language. I am excited to embark on this journey as a Chinese language teacher in Canada. My aim is to empower students to achieve their language goals, whether they are beginners starting from scratch or advanced learners seeking to refine their skills.
