Hello, Everyone! My name is Eftychia (or Effie), which means “Happiness” in Greek and I offer happiness to the people who would love to learn Greek. My goal is to keep the Greek language alive and thriving for another five-thousand of years! I am a teacher in Greece with a Masters Degree in Education. I have lived in New York but am currently on a Greek island. In New York, I worked in Greek-bilingual schools while studying at Hunter College (CUNY). I used to work in the public school system in Greece but now I have the pleasure of being the Head of Studies at the Greek-American Non Profit Organization that promotes Greek culture and education. I am also currently working on my PhD in Digital Media and Communication at the Ionian University of Greece. Most of my students are Greek-American and bilingual. I have 13 years of teaching experience in New York and in Greece, teaching Greek as a first and as a second language. I can teach Greek (A1-C2 level) depending on my students needs. I can direct you on A2 and B1 language requirement for the permanent residency/naturalisation in Greece. I am highly experienced in preparing individuals for the GCSE, ellinomatheia and regents (certificates of proficiency in Greek language). Of course every student is different so I make sure to provide a customized program for everyone wanting to learn greek, specified to your needs, while moving at your pace.
My methodology is based on Constructivism which is the notion that people actively construct their own knowledge, and that reality is determined by your experiences as a learner. The major concept is that my students use their previously learned knowledge as a foundation and build on it with new things that they learn. My subject expertise is: modern Greek and Greek history, not just the basic history that is written in handbooks, but from the “inside” history.

Sí, puedes cancelar una reserva hasta un máximo de 8 horas antes de la clase, indicando el motivo de cancelación. Estudiaremos cada caso de forma personal para proceder a la devolución del importe.

Sí, siempre puede surgir algún imprevisto, por lo que podrás cambiar la hora o el día de clase. Puedes hacerlo desde tu área personal, dentro de "Clases programadas", en la opción “Cambiar fecha”.
¿Dónde se realizan las clases?
Las clases se realizan en el aula virtual de Classgap, desarrollada para el ámbito formativo con muchas funcionalidades específicas para ello, como el vídeo-chat, la pizarra virtual o el editor de textos a tiempo real. ¿Cómo realizo el pago de la clase?
En el momento en que selecciones una clase o un pack de horas, podrás realizar el pago mediante nuestro TPV virtual. Tienes dos opciones para efectuar el pago: - Tarjeta de crédito. - Paypal. Una vez realices el pago de la clase, recibirás un e-mail de confirmación de la reserva.

Ho una laurea triennale in Scienze Politiche e Relazioni Internazionali dell'università La Sapienza, conseguita con il massimo dei voti e precedentemente mi sono diplomata al liceo classico con la votazione di 94/100.
In questi anni ho accumulato esperienza nel fornire lezioni private, dapprima all'interno della scuola attraverso il progetto "Peer tutoring" e, poi, autonomamente. Nel corso del tempo ho avuto l’opportunità di seguire ragazzi e ragazze delle scuole medie e delle superiori attraverso lezioni sia in presenza sia online, raggiungendo sempre, con grande gioia, ottimi risultati.
Attualmente lavoro in una scuola in cui seguo, ricoprendo un ruolo di supporto, un primo anno della materna e contemporaneamente, all’interno della stessa scuola, mi occupo delle ore di appoggio allo studio per gli studenti delle elementari.
Il mio metodo di insegnamento prevede innanzitutto l’ascolto degli studenti e delle studentesse per indagare le loro reali necessità. Dopo di che cerco di capire, confrontandomi con i ragazzi e le ragazze, come poter organizzare al meglio il lavoro. Il mio obiettivo primario è, infatti, quello di adattare ogni ora di lavoro alle esigenze e alle caratteristiche proprie di ogni persona che seguo. Quindi se necessario si può, ad esempio, fare ricorso a mappe, schemi, riassunti, supporti digitali e simili. Nel corso del tempo dedico dei momenti al confronto con gli studenti e le studentesse al fine di valutare come stiamo procedendo, se le modalità di studio funzionano e in generale per mettere in risalto aspetti che si possono cambiare o mantenere.
Un altro elemento che mi sta particolarmente, a cuore, oltre al confronto, è quello dell’apprendimento sostanziale. Con ciò voglio dire che per me è molto importante che si impari capendo davvero ciò che si studia, evitando del tutto modalità di studio passive o meccaniche.
