Hello! I’m Emile Kanaan, a professional Oud musician and teacher with over 9 years of teaching experience and more than 12 years of performance across the Middle East. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Musicology from Antonine University and a Diploma in Oud from the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music. My classes are tailored to each student’s goals — whether you're a beginner learning your first notes or an advanced player seeking to master taqasim, maqams, or repertoire. I focus on building both solid technique and musical expression in a relaxed, motivating environment. I love to share the deep cultural roots of Arabic music while making learning enjoyable, structured, and inspiring. Whether you’re preparing for a performance, studying music academically, or just learning for fun, I’ll help you get there. I teach in both English and Arabic, and I welcome students of all levels and backgrounds!
