My name is ILONA, and I've been playing the cello since the age of 7. I gave my first lesson at 17 while still studying, and since then, I have been working as a cello tutor. With over 10 years of experience in professional symphony orchestras, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my teaching. I am a result-oriented educator, focusing on technique and using various methods (Suzuki, Feuillard, etc.), switching between them according to our tasks. With adults, we decide together on the lesson flow that is most appropriate for them. Often, I integrate technical challenges into the music they enjoy playing. My students earn A and A+ on AMEB, ABRSM, and RCM exams, succeed in orchestral auditions, and gain entry into conservatories and music colleges. I teach cello online to Autistic Individuals, drawing on my education, art therapist certification, and experience. For many years now, I have been studying how the human brain works and how we can use this knowledge while playing the cello. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, hiking, reading, and spending vacations on the Adriatic Sea in Croatia. A trial lesson is a great way for us to see how we can best work together.
