Hi, my name is Polina Pohozha. I’m a pianist, composer, and teacher based in Gothenburg.
Music has always been a natural part of my life — a way to express feelings, to connect, to explore. I can hardly imagine myself without it, and it’s this sense of discovery and connection that I hope to share with every student I meet.
I studied piano performance and teaching at the Odesa National Music Academy, where I received my Master’s degree, and later continued my education in composition at the Composer School on Gotland. Over the years, I’ve performed across Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Sweden, Norway, Italy — from classical stages to festivals of experimental and improvised music. Along the way, I’ve worked with orchestras, played solo recitals, collaborated with classical ensembles rock bands, pop, experimenrtal, and recorded albums and EPs of free improvisation and doom-metal.
My teaching experience is 10 years. I worked in different musical schools as a piano teacher and then started doing freelance teaching.
When I was a child, teaching fascinated me to the bones. I got to grow up with incredible teachers who are still a big inspiration for me. They were an example that teaching is a style of life, a way to connect, explore, and express. It is a dialogue where both student and teacher grow together, connect, and make very special relationships.
I’ve taught in both Ukrainian and Swedish schools, and these two different traditions have shaped my approach. From the Ukrainian side, I carry with me a strong classical foundation; from Sweden, I learned how valuable it is to adapt to the student, to encourage curiosity and self-expression.
My lessons are always built around the person sitting at the piano. Some students want to focus on classical repertoire, some on improvisation, some on creating their own music — and often these things blend together naturally. While I take inspiration from the Suzuki philosophy, I place even more emphasis on individual growth, finding what feels authentic and meaningful to each student. Improvisation has a special place in my teaching, because it opens up a direct path to creativity and musical freedom.
I want to create an environment for you that is not only inspiring, where you exchange thoughts and create something new together, but also fun to be in—cozy and comfortable. Where to go without it?

In 2021, I completed my degree in jazz singing with honours at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan. I have been teaching singing since 2018, first in Milan in person, then online with singing lessons in English for a music school based in California. Now I teach at three private schools in Rome and have students whom I teach privately, visiting them at their homes. The lessons are structured as follows: the first part consists of warm-ups, breathing and vocal technique exercises. Then we move on to the repertoire with the performance of songs chosen by the students and myself. We will work on the repertoire, the pronunciation of foreign lyrics, posture, the approach to live performance and, for students who are willing, once a month I suggest participating in jam sessions or open mics in venues in Rome. The genre can be jazz, pop, soul, hip hop, rock, and so on. I am also available to help students prepare for conservatory admission, auditions, and various other types of admissions. I teach students of all ages and levels, even those with no experience. I am willing to travel to your home, teach at my home, or even online. It is also possible to take lessons in music theory and piano for beginners. It is also possible to learn how to make home recordings, with instruction in software such as Ableton and Logic.
I have been working as a professional singer for 8 years, I released my first album “In the Night” in 2021 and in 2018 I was chosen by Ornella Vanoni as the best singer during one of her masterclasses at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan. I have a busy concert schedule and have also performed abroad.

Hello!
My name is Yen Tzu, I am from Taiwan. I have 15 years experience playing flute and dedicated my studies to this instrument.
I have experience playing with an orchestra and participating in concerts, in Taiwan and overseas. During my flute studies at Tainan National University, in Taiwan, and the École Normale de Music, in Paris, France, I tutored several junior students and dispensed private classes.
Laureate of the music university of Tainan, I currently attend École Normale de Musique of Paris, as a final year student. I can arrange individual classes according to the students’ level.
My wish is for my students to enjoy the music and transmit my passion for this incredible instrument, the flute !

I’m happy to help with learning to play the piano or to introduce students to the world of music. I offer support with piano practice for music school students, as well as lessons in ear training and music theory. I am also able to create arrangements of selected pieces. I have a friendly disposition and strive to take an individual approach to each student.
I create engaging lessons by combining fun music games, and enjoyable activities that spark creativity and enthusiasm. My goal is to make every lesson both educational and enjoyable, helping students build strong musical foundations while having fun.
I also prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity College London grade exams, ensuring they develop not only the technical and theoretical skills required but also the confidence to perform successfully.
