A powerful technique I use is the Learn-by-Teaching with a role-reversal and the student takes the opportunity to mimic what the teacher has taught. Once a student teaches something it is cognitively reinforced and brings immediate confidence. The terms discussion-based, student-centered, collaborative, differentiated, and flipped classroom describe my approach.
