My name is Shirley Sangalang. I started my ESL journey in 2007. Throughout my career, I’ve taught students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds around the world. As a teacher, I’d say I’m a versatile English teacher as I’m capable of handling beginner to advanced level students. Moreover, I'm proficient in teaching various courses, including general, business English, and IELTS. I have successfully helped many students achieve their English goals, enabling them to work, study, or live abroad. Previously, I worked in the corporate world, holding managerial positions in various industries. This experience has been beneficial, particularly when working with adult students who study business English or want to engage in casual conversations. I make sure that the student has achievable and realistic goals. I will customize a course for the student, and we must follow a timetable. In my class, I incorporate grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and some exercises to motivate the students.
