Hey! I’m Gideon Ezekiel, a saxophonist based in Abuja, Nigeria. I’ve been playing for over 12 years now, and honestly, I still feel as excited about the sax as I did on day one. I’m completely self-taught — I’ve spent crazy hours practicing (I once did 12 hours straight!), and it’s been an amazing journey. Over the years, I’ve played at tons of live events and even had the chance to do saxophone voicing on Joeboy’s song “Normally.” I also helped start Worship Therapy and Street Worship Jazz, both focused on using music as a way to heal, worship, and connect with people. I studied Quantity Surveying at university, but music has always been my heartbeat. Along the way, I also picked up skills in music production, recording, mixing and mastering all self-taught too. Soy estudiante del Conservatorio Superior de Jazz en el Centro Superior de Música Creativa de Madrid donde me estoy especializando en Interpretación Vocal (canto). Llevo cantando desde los 4 años (clases individuales de técnica vocal, coro, teatro musical...) y empecé a profesionalizar mi carrera musical hace 5 años dando clases de Educación Auditiva y solfeo, Armonía y Combos. Hace 3 años entré en el Grado Superior y hace 2 empecé a ejercer como profesora de canto en una Academia de Música. Mi relación con mis alumnos es muy cercana y para mí el ámbito pedagógico de la música es una vocación al igual que el interpretativo, soy una apasionada de la música ¡a todos los niveles! Il canto è qualcosa di profondo che parte dalla testa e durante le mie lezioni spesso si comprende il vero motivo per cui si canta o , in qualche caso , il motivo per cui ci sono problemi in determinati aspetti canori. Rispetterò sempre quello che la voce mi dice e mi indica e cercherò di plasmare il mio lavoro su di essa e non il contrario
