Hello and thanks for taking the time to read my post. My name is Elias, and I am an award-winning pianist and composer with a Doctorate degree in composition from the University of Toronto, and four commercially recorded albums of my own compositions. In recent years, I focused on composing for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, choirs, and orchestras. I have been playing piano since the age of five, and I cannot imagine my life without music. I would certainly love to share that knowledge with you. I believe in adapting to each student's pace and preferences, but here are a few things that I share with all my piano students: - Technique training through physical warm up exercises - Proper physical movement on the piano - Importance of having a sound theoretical knowledge - Approaching challenging pieces by dividing it into small fragments and mastering it one fragment at a time. - Developing consistent and efficient practice routines Most importantly, I find it very important to encourage each student to reach their maximum potential and will guide them through it every step of the way. I work with students online and have had tremendous success doing it. Please know that it is never too late to start music lessons!
