Hello, I am from Beijing, and Mandarin is my native language. I've always had a passion for exploring different cultures, which gave me the opportunity to live and study in Scotland for many years. Transitioning from a language learner to someone who actively uses languages has been a deeply enriching experience. Learning and using different languages has not only helped me gain a deeper understanding of local cultures but also opened new channels for accessing information, broadening my worldview, and profoundly shifting my perspective. My experiences in Scotland made me realize that language is not only a tool for communication but also a bridge for understanding and integrating into different cultures. Through English, I was able not only to communicate smoothly with locals but also to access global information from a wider perspective, enriching my knowledge structure and ways of thinking. This cross-cultural learning and application journey has underscored the importance of applying language and made me appreciate the process of language learning even more. I now live in Spain and am actively learning Spanish. Every day, I try to seize every opportunity to use the language in real-life settings, like shopping at the supermarket, talking with neighbors, and participating in local activities. These real-life scenarios deepen my understanding and appreciation of the language. I have come to realize that only through practical application can one truly grasp the essence of a language. I believe each language is unique and full of charm. By learning and using them, we can not only expand our personal horizons but also form closer connections with the world. As a Mandarin teacher, I hope to use my experiences to help students learn Chinese through practical application, allowing them to discover the endless possibilities language offers.
