Good day. I teach English mostly with set course materials and with discussion where needed. I have found that such text books often have items that need explanation as they presume the student understands the British way of life. This is often not real for those learning the language. I advise my students to use a dictionary as opposed to just a translation. Many English words have multiple meanings and the translation may not be correct. To really know any language you must really understand the words. Grammar is important but I don't emphasise this as I encourage my students to chat informally. I feel that general conversation is the best way to learn.

Hello everyone! My name is Ronica Roopak and I am from India.
