About Me – Experienced Mathematics and English Tutor Hello! Welcome to my profile. I am an experienced and passionate educator with over 20 years of teaching experience, helping children understand difficult concepts, improve their academic performance, and develop confidence in their learning abilities. I hold a B.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Lagos, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), and a Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) professional certificate and licence. My educational background and classroom experience have equipped me with the skills to make learning clear, practical, engaging, and enjoyable. Mathematics is my main speciality. I teach primary and junior secondary school learners topics such as arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, word problems, basic algebra, geometry, and other essential mathematical concepts. I also teach English Language, including grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and sentence construction. I support learners preparing for school examinations and other relevant assessments. My teaching approach is student-centred. I first identify each learner's strengths and areas that need improvement. I then explain concepts step by step, using simple language, relatable examples, guided practice, questions, and exercises. I understand that every child learns differently, so I adjust my lessons to suit each learner's pace, age, class level, and individual needs. My goal is not just to help students pass examinations but also to help them understand what they learn, think independently, solve problems confidently, and develop a positive attitude towards education.
