My name is Johari Gardner, and I love music! I have been a musician for over a decade, with 15 years of experience playing drums, 8 years on bass, 5 years on guitar and piano, and I've recently started learning saxophone and trombone. I have played drums and percussion in a few professional settings, as well as at many colleges and universities around the world. I am also a university student, studying to get my Master's in Music Performance. I have performed in professional settings with many notable people, such as David Benoit and Earl Klugh. My specialty is in jazz music, however, I have ample experience in all genres of music. I can read sheet music, and excel in all-things music. I also produce music, and have been making hip-hop, pop, r&b, and afrobeats for 4 years. Below are some notable things I have done. I have been teaching music theory for 5 years and drums for 4. I will begin to teach music production in the near future, as well. If there's one thing that I've learned from teaching, it's that it is very important for a student and teacher to have a strong bond that allows for a student to feel comfortable asking questions. All students have their own way of learning, and one of my primary teaching methods is repeating and rephrasing, so I can appeal to many different learning styles. Students have many different ways of receiving information, and I want to cater to that. Hi, I have been passionate about music since I was young; I learned the guitar first and then other instruments like bass, keyboard and vocals to record myself and create my own tracks. I have a lot of experience playing with rock, soul, funk and electro music in bands and I am open to all styles. Today I would like to share my achievements with students curious to learn an instrument and progress quickly so that playing music becomes a pleasure. For guitar lessons and Digital Audio Workstations. First I have to check the level of the student to assess his specific needs. If his instrument has chosen is suitable, learning will be easier, so I find out about the instruments at his disposal, a metronome is also recommended to train properly. By choosing together a song as support we can start the lessons. I can advise on all the tools related to the guitar, tuning, settings, position. My method is as playful as possible, as little theory as possible and above all the practice of the instrument by the student. To vary the exercises, I can do a course on rhythm during a class or study specific parts of the studied piece to prepare to play it perfectly. I conceive my own methods to transcribe easily the structure of the songs that we can play, it allows a bit like the tablatures not to have to know music theory on the fingertips. Also, for the scales I designed a very playful and easy to remember method to be able to quickly progress and play the first improvised solos. I have been playing the guitar for over 20 years, and I am comfortable on acoustic, electric, and electro-acoustic. Because I have played in bands I know all that is necessary to play with several people to stay in sync and listen to other players. I also practice singing, and it's very useful for accompanying oneself on the guitar and doing covers. I am also interested in instrument settings and adjustments, which is practical if an instrument has a problem or needs to be adjusted, which makes it easier to use, especially for beginners. Also interested in Digital Audio workstations, I master these tools well, which allows me to teach, wiring, effects, and all related tools.

I am a pianist and piano teacher with experience with pupils aged five to fourteen, and with adults. Music is relaxing, promotes emotional well-being, and learning an instrument helps to develop different skills such as communication, adaptability, problem solving, because are connected with the emotions.Musicality and its development is closely connected with emotions, which the student learns to know, express and manage through music. I feel joy in sharing knowledge and love for music with my students and seeing their musical progress and their discovery of their abilities and of themselves, because coming into direct contact with music, it also means discovering yourself. I started playing the piano at six years of age and I have played in various chamber ensembles and in piano recitals. I started teaching piano lessons 10 years ago . I have a Bachelor in piano and a Master degree in teaching of music and of the instrument, a path that allowed me to experience music, deepen it, share it with others. For me it was a gift to have the opportunity to come into direct contact with music, to learn an instrument. It is a wonderful experience and I hope it will be for you too. METHODOLOGY My methodology is based on the idea of creating and maintaining a pleasant and enthusiastic atmosphere during the lesson, to facilitate your sense of autonomy and personal control over what you learn. I will teach you to play the piano both by ear and by reading a sheet music, through the knowledge of musical notes, teaching you how to read and write a score, chords and musical scales. Through piano pieces and exercises I will give you support in your technical and musical development in different musical genres. The material used during the lessons will be chosen both by me and by the student, to give space to your musical choices and preferences. The lessons are aimed at beginners and intermediates, and people of all ages. Piano lessons are based on a friendly attitude where the study program is chosen according to the level and preferences of the student. During the study there will be proposals for performance improvement, which are positive feedback to encourage you to achieve new musical goals.
