I am Marc, singing and theatre teacher with 25 years of experience. I studied vocal studies, musical and music theatre. Singers who move you are not necessarily singers with perfect technique: they are the ones who let you get close, who tell you a story. I want to teach you how you can sing in a way that shows your authentic expression, so you can move people with your song. Together we’ll go through a process where you learn to stay close to yourself en tell a story from there. We look at what moves you and what the lyrics mean to you. You’ll learn techniques to connect your story and your emotions to a song. You’ll learn to distinguish different types of songs, for example narrative and lyrical songs. In my lessons I use the technical aspects of singing to support the process: when it’s needed we’ll work on singing technique, breathing technique, diction, different voice techniques and presentation. Because I am not only trained in singing, but also in dance, acting, music theatre and personal development, I combine all disciplines in my teaching. With me you’re also very welcome for coaching and directing in musical, music theatre, cabaret, and even circus theatre. During my travels I worked in several projects, like a peace circus in Israel and Palestine and theatre and music workshops for Syrian refugee children in Jordan. Now I travel with my family and I teach online lessons.
